Three Decker is very much a "know what you're getting into" place. It is a diner, with a massive menu, large portion sizes, and it keeps everything simple. You're not going to walk out blown away by the flavor odyssey your taste buds just went on, but if you go in with the right attitude I promise this is a 5 star experience. I've been here several times, most recently I had the meatball sub with disco fries and a martini, and it was exactly what I needed at that moment. The meatball sub had a great meatball-sauce-cheese ratio and the disco fries are some of my favorite cheese fries in the city -- and that's not something I say lightly. On a trip here a while back I got a waffle with ice cream on it because that's what my soul needed that day. Service can be a tad slow but I love hanging out here because it has a lovely diner ambiance and is never too loud to have a great conversation with friends. In summary, can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for simple diner food. Absolute neighborhood staple and I will be back several times without a doubt :)

Great breakfast/brunch joint! The food greatly improved after the ownership changed. They do get slammed for brunch, so I recommend getting there before it turns into a circus after 11AM.

If you're looking for a classic diner, look no further. Me and my lady LOVED three decker. She got the buffalo chicken wrap - to die! I had a mighty fine omelette (the departed). We had the best anniversary ever. Waitress good too, -1 star for bathroom cleanliness. Xoxo, RT

Manhattan sandwich and departed omelette Wow just wow... my buddy Sam and I have been coming to this diner for dinner every Sunday for about as long as I can remember. Tonight's diner was on of the best! I had the departed omelet which was mouth watering my good. Top 5 omelet all time. While they might have been out of fried chicken and roast beef Sam's third choice of Manhattan sandwich was an un expected treat. Don't even get me stared on the service.. it was incredible!! Jennifer and Sophie couldnt have been better!!!! Also don't worry we didn't forget the chili! 5/5

Closer to 4.5! I had a great experience, everything you'd want in a diner. We did have to wait for about 25 min to get seated on a Saturday around 2 pm, but that's to be expected. The bloody Marys really hit a spot! I also ordered an egg white omelette with pepper jack, spinach and veggie sausage, which was solid. The buttered rye toast paired well. The vibe of this place is fun, classic diner with great tunes. Service was very friendly too. Would definitely come back, the pancakes looked delicious from afar. Relatively affordable spot too!
